KONA PRAYER ROOM STAFF
SETH & Hannah Yates
An accomplished songwriter, musician and worship leader, Seth spent 7 years at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City before moving to Kona to help establish the Kona Prayer Room in 2010. After finishing her DTS in 2012, Hannah came on full time staff with Awaken at YWAM Kona. With a passion to see people find the joy of simply loving Jesus and contend for authentic revival, Hannah and her husband, Seth, are committed to seeing missionaries go deep in a life of prayer as they go to fulfill the great commission. Seth and Hannah got married in 2014 and have a longing to see worship and prayer arise from every nation unto the return of Jesus.
From a small ocean town in Northern California, Brenna has pursued the presence of God and sharing His love with others while growing up, throughout her school years her heart was ignited for prayer, worship and evangelism. After Brenna graduated she did her DTS in Kona with Fire and Fragrance in 2014 during her DTS she spent countless hours in the prayer room, falling more in love with God and gaining His heart for the nations knowing that it all flows through prayer. Brenna jumped in as prayer room staff right after her DTS, with having a huge heart for seeing others have an understanding of the simplicity of intimacy with God and how prayer and the simple gospel changes everything.
I'm Cami, and I'm straight from Brazil! I'm 25 years old and I did Music DTS in Denver, CO in 2014. I've been part of YWAM Kona Music has a year now and also helping pioneering the Music DTS here in our base. I love worship and intercession, an as Prayer Room staff I can be part of it! I love that we get to see first hand from the stage all the encounters happening and also that we have the liberty to go down and pray for people and see God moving too! I have a huge heart for the nations and for discipleship. I'm alive to release a sound of freedom and revival coming from a foundation in worship and true community!
In 2010, the Lord called Kelsey into full-time ministry through the prayer and missions movement as she strengthened houses of prayer in the states and overseas. The desire for more training in evangelism led her to YWAM Kona for Fire and Fragrance in 2015. She longs to see the convergence of missions and prayer fully displayed in the nations. Her heart is to train up lovesick worshipers of Jesus establishing night and day prayer and from that place serving, seeking and saving the lost that many would experience the love of Jesus!
Hailing from Canada, Carly completed her DTS at YWAM Kona and has since then served the Kona Prayer Room for the past 3 years. Her dream is to see people all over the earth encounter the presence and love of Jesus through worship and gain the heart of the Lord through intercession.
As a missionary kid, growing up in the nations, God has placed a deep longing for genuine community and love of different cultures in Ben. In his early teens, God placed the nation of Japan strongly on his heart, only to confirm it even more on his DTS outreach at the end of 2011. In the near future, Ben wants to help pioneer a house of prayer in Tokyo as the first step to moving long term to Japan. Seeing music as a universal language that transcends all barriers and walls we put up, he longs to see the Lord's name lifted high in that nation.
Originally from right outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Mackenzie has been with YWAM for two years. Doing her DTS in Kona in July of 2014, Mackenzie went to Fiji on her outreach and got a heart for the lost and broken to know to know the love of the Father. She came back on staff after her DTS and after going back to Fiji for a month, staffed a DTS and led an evangelism focused outreach team to New York City. Her heart is to see the church of America revived, rooted in worship and intercession and then sent out to show the love of Jesus to the nations.
Christy Fiskeaux is the owner of a mind that is always trying to figure out how to get her body to join her brain matter in the clouds. When she’s not creating worlds with pencils or tickling ivory, she’s conversing with her fish Napoleon on the less important parts of life, namely how to spend your days right side up. Upon arriving on the big island of Hawaii in 2012 she discovered the abundance of needed vitamin D in contrast to the frozen state of Alaska where she grew up. She loves creativity and enjoys helping people break boxes and paint outside the lines so they can become the creative individuals they were always meant to be.
I am 21 years old, born and raised in Longview, Texas. I grew up in the church but really made the decision to follow Jesus when I was 12 at a youth group. I have been with YWAM since 2013 and have loved every minute of it. My vision is to see prayer and missions impact the nation of the Democratic Republic of Congo to see the Great Commission fulfilled, and by partnering with existing ministries who fear the Lord, follow Jesus, and believe in the Holy Spirit. Through individual and corporate prayer and worship that brings about intimacy with the Lord we will preach the gospel, disciple, and care for the orphans and widows and we will see the Kingdom of God become more and more clear in this war torn nation.
Jennifer Reuss started her missions adventures in South Africa with a performing arts company/ministry called 13thFLOOR from 2005-2008 where she developed a burning passion for worship and intercession and dance. Spending the next 2 years in Minneapolis with the inner-city ministry called Boilerroom, she met her husband Drew and the two served with YWAM Minneapolis from 2011 to 2014. They pioneered a prayer room, a DTS dance track and a DTS outdoors track. Jen has also completed a YWAM worship school in Lakeside, Montana. Jen is passionate about believers finding complete freedom in knowing their identity in Jesus as sons and daughters of God, to be equipped in love and power, and to burn for the world to encounter Him.
Giselle Stadler is from the east coast of Connecticut and has been on staff with the prayer room since 2014. Before YWAM, her heart of fighting injustice lead her in a career in social work. In April of 2012 she left her career behind to see if the God in the bible was still the same today. Since 2012, her life has forever been changed after completing DTS and the School of Worship. As a result, her heart of discipling others in raw worship to Jesus has only increased. She desires for everyone to fall in love with the beauty of intercession as well as for everyone to experience His peace and complete freedom in worship.
